Key Bank’s Checking Account Promo

Get $150 by opening one of their many checking account packages. Get $150 when you switch to Key Bank.

To successfully claim the bonus, you are required to open one of their various checking accounts and make sixty payments and or purchases within three months. You are also required to deposit $500 at least three times in three months.

However, the most important thing to notice is that every one of their checking account packages come with  a maintenance fee (with the exception of one) unless you keep a balance of over ten thousand dollars.  The Key Express Checking Account is the most basic offering and you are still required to deposit at least five hundred dollars or conduct at least  five account transfers per statement cycle to avoid fees.

Citibank’s Checking Account Promo

If you can maintain a $15,000 combined average monthly balance (in eligible products) you will avoid the $20.00 monthly service fee. Eligible products include linked deposits, loans, mortgages, and investment accounts.

Chase Checking Account Promotion

Get $125 for opening a new account by using a promo code. You can visit a branch or get one or you can have a Chase bank promotion code emailed to you. To get the $125 you will have to make at least one direct deposit. We featured this checking account promo on our list of top checking account promotions 2012 with a note that keeping a limited balance you may incur higher fees with this account. It may be worth it if you plan on making Chase your primary bank and moving larger sums over to them.

If you can make a single monthly direct deposit of $500 or more or keep a daily average balance of $1,500 you will avoid the monthly service fees.  This offer is arguably the best of the three big bank checking account promotions, but probably still not worth the trouble for the average customer.

We’ve sorted through the top 12 month CD rates from Arkansas based financial institutions and found that all the rates worth mentioning for this specific term  are coming from smaller community based banks, with the exception of a credit union which made our top list.

Unico Bank is currently featuring a twelve month CD yielding 1.16% APY requiring a minimum deposit of $1,000. To put this in perspective, the top 12 month CD rate available nationwide sits at 1.15% APY and also requires a $1,000 minimum deposit, offered by Doral Bank.

2) Corning Savings and Loan Association

Card holders who obtain a BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa card earn money back on all spending, but the percentage escalates depending on what they’re purchasing. For most transactions, the reward is 1 percent of the price.

For grocery store purchases, the reward escalates to 2%, and for using the card to purchase fuel, it’s 3 percent.

A spokesperson for BOA reports that the tiered incentives were contrived to reflect customer behavior. About on third of all the credit card transactions that Bank of America handles are for groceries and fuel.

Unfortunately there is a limit on those higher percentages. They apply only to the first $1,500 in groceries and fuel spending every 90 days.

The small print

The credit card offers an introductory interest rate of zero percent for the first twelve statements, after which the interest will alternate to a variable rate based on the prime rate between 12.99 percent and 20.99 percent, dependent on your credit rating.

Cash advances from bank tellers or ATM machines will carry a 24.99 percent interest rate. Late payments can activate a rate of up to 29.99 percent.

Bank of America Credit Cards For Business With Cash Back Rewards

BOA is offering a MasterCard with a similar tiered incentive plan, offering 1% cash back on all purchases , 2% on restaurant purchases and 3 percent on office supplies, gas station and computer network service purchases.

There is no limit on the purchases categories for the credit card for business, but there is also no benefit for depositing profits into savings or checking accounts.
